Topic1: Azure Cosmos DB

Abstract:This session is about the new Azure Cosmos DB and how to quickly scale any app using the Cosmos DB. Learn how to build a scalable App in minutes using the Cosmos DB and how to quickly distribute the data globally. Learn more about foundation of Cosmos DB and the multi model database service.

Speaker Profile:
Senthamil Selvan is awarded as Microsoft MVP in Windows Development. He has 11+ years of experience in Microsoft Platform including Windows Forms, SharePoint and Universal Apps development. He has published several Windows Apps in the Store - 8 Windows Phone and 5 Windows Store Apps.

Topic 2: Adaptive Query Processing in SQL Server 2017
Abstract: Adaptive Query Processing is one of the most important enhancements to be released in SQL Server 2017. Adaptive Query Processing adds intelligence to the optimizer and improves query plan choices significantly. Following session will provide an overview on Adaptive query processing and explain the scenarios at which Adaptive Query Processing automatically provides performance gain with no change to the code.

Nagaraj Venkatesan(Microsoft Data Platform MVP,) is a SQL Server enthusiast since 2005 currently working as Senior Database Administrator for NCS Pte Ltd, Singapore. At NCS, Nagaraj maintains databases used by one of the busiest public facing applications in the city. As a active member of SQL Server community , Nagaraj leads the team managing Singapore SQL Server Pass Chapter ( User group ). As a part of the team, Nagaraj has organized many user group meet up sessions, in addition to being a regular speaker at them.
